About us

We are a family run business with a passion for everything creative. Our sole aim in creating our Imaginarium was to offer a place where everyone could experience this for themselves, no matter what their skill level is. We hope we have managed to do just that.

How our Imaginarium works

Whether you are taking part in one of our workshops, a regular visitor to us, or just coming for the first time as a drop-in, your experience will be the same and a warm welcome awaits you.

To start you simply pick what you would like to do, work out your theme and colours, choose your base, and then build from there using items from our all-inclusive buffet and our paid for buffet – how much you choose will depend on your overall budget. All prices include the use of our work-stations, glues, paints, pens, glitters and more.

There is no time limit on being with us, and no limit on the number of things you can create either. In fact we encourage you to try as many different things as you can, just to see what you like doing.

From miniature world making to ceramic painting, mask decorating to wooden crafts, decoupage to wreath making, sea-glass jewellery creation to seasonal activities and more. There is always something for everyone at The Imaginarium.

And don’t forget our regular ‘Easter Egg Hunts’, ‘Halloween Trick or Treat Trails, and new for 2025 our ‘Summer Scavenger Hunts’ – fun for all the family in the fresh air around the Fort, through the woods and our by the sea.

Some of our rules, credos, ways of working

We will never rush you

Creativity should never be rushed, take your time, there is no time limit on how long you stay at your workstation, and no limit on the number of things you create either. We stay until you are finished!

Need help

Our drop-in activities are self-led, but help is just an ask away, so if you have any questions or need help all you have to do is reach out to one of our members of staff.

Need more help

Our daily drop-in activities are not led, but if you feel you need more help and a more tutored experience then why not consider asking about our workshops or private classes.

If you run out of time

Don’t worry, we can store your creation for you until you have time to return and complete it. There is no charge for storage, or the time you need to complete your creation.

Sticky, messy & needs care

What we, and you do can be messy, sticky and may involve the use of a hot glue gun and scissors. So don’t wear your Sunday best when you come to us, and if you need help with anything just ask. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Child supervision

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Sorry but you cannot leave your child with us unless agreed in advanced with us, for example as part of an organised activity, party or workshop.

Help yourself

For all of our creativities we invite you to help yourself to our inclusive buffet of items as well as the use of paints (both acrylic and water-based), glues, glitters, feathers, flowers and natural items etc.

What you like doing

If there is something creative that we are not currently offering that you would like to see us do, then tell us! We are always open to ideas so never be shy in telling us what we are missing.

Some of the things people have said about us.

What an amazing place this is. This is my kid’s absolute heaven!

If I had a pound for every time my kids have nagged me to come back here…

I can’t wait for the next season when we can come back and do something else!
